SELENE – NEXT BAG™, the sustainability of FFS tubulars for bagging industrial products.

For SELENE, we conducted a comparative LCA analysis of the standard FFS (Form Fill and Seal) packaging, consisting of 100% virgin polyethylene (PE), and the FFS packaging obtained through the NextBag™ production process containing 50% PRP, the recycled PE generated at the Selene plant in Capannori from Selene’s processing waste and recovered from collection centers.

The study highlighted the environmental benefits derived from replacing virgin raw material with secondary raw material and identified the main sources of impact so as to provide the company with additional elements to pursue continuous improvement in the environmental performance of its products.
